Let me just start by saying that Ms. Helena Hunting has and always will be, my Queen of Hockey Romance.  I've read and love them all.

If You Hate Me was definitely giving off the found family vibes of the Pucked series and I am here for it. I adored the FMC, Beatrix, and the MMC, Tristin.

Can I just say, what a HEALTHY book.  Helena has outdone herself.  Everyone loves a red flag fu** boy, but Helena added emotional maturity into this book and it was so sexy.  Literally feeling Bea compose herself and not let her worth be diminished by refusing to argue with Tristin.  I loved it.  Yes, Tristin struggles with his emotions and that's very obvious but it was a growth to allow him to acknowledge his shortcomings.  Allowing Bea to calm down and acknowledge her fear of food scarcity. I cannot get over how much I love this book and can't wait for the rest of the series.  Truly.

Also, funny story.  While reading on my Kindle Oasis, I kept seeing the page break images and could not figure out what they were while in dark mode.  Brushed it off until I placed my Kindle into regular mode and still, couldn't figure out what they were.  Not flowers, not eggs.  And then it hit me. Cucumber slices and IYKYK. I cracked up every single time I saw them afterwards. Phenomenal.
