this book is a nice little slice of life christmas-y episode of adventures of the court of dreams. it is a good way to see the characters and how they have been holding on and coping after the war with hybern, and what they think for the future. i have also heard that it is a bridge between acowar and acosf to help build context for the latter. it really isn’t important towards the plot but it was a nice read and p comfy cozy feels, except for a few scenes that are left deliberately with the idea that they will be further developed in acosf.
