This was perfectly readable, but I will say I had to borrow it 2-3 times from the library as I didn't ever really want to read it all the way through at once. I think I had the same issue with this as I did with The Martian, which is that the main character is very smart, and Weir wants you to know how smart he is by having him logic his way out of problems of the author's very precise making. I think it will be a fun movie, as I won't have to skip through as much of the science.
