It is good to be back in Elan with Royce and Hadrian.

The Crown Tower, while written after the Riyira Revelations, is an origin story for Riyira. And it might be better than most of Revelations...

Since it is a completely standalone adventure, there's no need to build up to anything. It starts and ends on its own feet, which is where the Revelations can fall flat (each book is designed to be built upon).

Anyways, I found The Crown Tower to be great. The relationship between the main duo is at it's peak, with no rapport established, and both wanting the other dead. A fun shake up to their established relationship.
