In his book, Jesse tells us all about his life—from childhood to now—and my God, what a life he’s lived. This book will absolutely break your heart, multiple times, but have you smiling by the end of it. As a reader, I’m incredibly proud of his journey and I know anyone else who reads this book will be as well. I’m really glad he’s shared his story with us & is opening up really important conversations about Canada’s Indigenous history. I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys Non-Fiction/Autobiographies as well as any Canadian.
