The main character made so many bad choices I found it hard to connect with him. Almost felt like a telenovela at times bc the choices / situations were so cringe. He also kept repeating references to Harry Potter and Star Wars to the point that it felt like a crutch. If I wanted to read HP I’d read HP. The story kept my attention enough but this one is nowhere near as good as his other book, They Both Die At The End.
