I'm going to be petty and not give this one a full 4 because that ending was lack luster. I was into this book from the beginning, and then the ending happened, and I was disappointed.

Libby's family was murdered and her older brother was convinced of killing them. Libby lives with the trauma of hearing her siblings and mom dying, as well as hearing her brother chase after her after her family died. She also holds some guilt inside because she was the person who identified her brother as the murderer, which put him in prison for the rest of his life. She finds herself in contact with Lyle - a guy who is obsessed with Libby's family, and soon she wants to find out if she is wrong about her brother.

This book is dark, gritty, and tough to get through at times. It shows the raw emotions someone has who has been through horrible things and has no one to lean on. Libby is not a perfect victim. She is angry and rude. She is a thief. She is selfish at times. She also has horrible intrusive thoughts throughout the novel.
