A historical romance I loved when I first read it as a teenager. It's not that great when you reread it as an adult. I love historical romance so it's still good especially as the author weaves actual historical events and persons into the plot. I find that I'm not that thrilled about the oldish language used and the somewhat condescending tone towards both me as a reader and the female characters in the book that slithers through from time to time.
