I know it’s YA, but for a book about villains in a death tournament, I wanted more ruthlessness. I get the message being sent that villains aren’t exactly what you expect/can come from anywhere, but I found the ending predictable. It also took Way too long for the actual tournament to start and I was a little bored 25-40% way in. I think unless the sequel gets rave reviews, I probably won’t read it.
