Little Girl Lost by Carol Wyer
4.0
Thank you to Carol E. Wyer, Bookouture and Netgalley for providing a copy of this book in return for an honest review.
A perfect family hiding disturbing secrets. A killer who wants the truth to be told.
A teacher goes missing under suspicious circumstances.
A millionaire is murdered at a local reservoir.
For Detective Robyn Carter, there’s no obvious link between the men. But as she starts to delve into the cases, her investigations lead her to Abigail, perfect wife and mother to beautiful little Izzy. What was Abigail’s connection to the victims? And why is she receiving threatening messages from an anonymous number?
But as Robyn starts to inch closer to finding the killer, Izzy is abducted.
Unless Robyn gets to the twisted individual in time, a little girl will die …
This was my first book by Carol E Wyer and it was a pretty good read. The story is told in a then and now format and from the POV of Alice, Robin and Abigail. There are lots of twists and turns, with several suspects who all seem to be hiding something. But how do the three characters connect?
I enjoyed this novel and while it became obvious who the killer was, it was still an engaging read and had a certain edge to it which I liked. Little Girl Lost is a good start to this series and I have no hesitation in recommending it as a good read. I look forward to the next installment - Secrets of the Dead - which was released at the end of May 2017. It has moved up my reading list!
