Unsong by Scott Alexander
4.0
The pacing was a little off, and I'm not sure about the non-linear storytelling, but the plot overall was well done. Some clunky prose, a *lot* of puns, not enough time spent with my favorite characters. I didn't entirely understand the ending, but it was good. Probably 3.5 ish stars for enjoyment, but closer to 5 for how ridiculously clever the author is.
(This is an adult novel, in content, themes, and language, and features some pretty disturbing/dark scenes and discussions of hell and evil. Recommended for mature readers only.)
