Empty Planet: The Shock of Global Population Decline by Darrell Bricker, John Ibbitson

2.0

(read as ebook)
What's it about?
Non fiction book about declining fertility rate and populations, and the impact that this will have. The authors say that world population growth will decline faster than UN predictions, which seems to be born out by latest stats out of China and India. We will see for Africa.

Chapters that focus on different parts of world and why fertility rates are declining, with anecdotes from a visit to that part of world.

What did I think?
It was alright, not amazing. Was already believing in premise. Might be a good read for someone convinced that population is increasing at unsustainable rate.

Not very rigorous. References a lot of news articles. Would have liked to have had more discussion of impact on innovation.
