finished this book just in time for book club! it gave me wonderful insight into the intersectionality of queer muslim women. at other times it was painfully relatable in the ways people say identity-erasing, searing stuff without seeing the gravity of their comments. 
i really liked learning about the quran! seeing the stories i learned about as a child in this entirely new interpretation was enlightening!
