I ended up DNFing this book at about the 50% mark.  I was listening to it on audiobook and I actually think that was a disservice in this case.  The main male character came across as creepy instead of alpha protective and I think that had a lot to do with the way the narrator would say certain lines.  I liked the premise and plot but the romance in this was rough and in the end the reason I decided to stop reading.
