This book was amazing. So unique and full of surprises. It is dark and violent and sometimes heartbreaking. I really enjoyed how information was doled out slowly, although sometimes I wished it was even more understated, wrt to character feelings and motivations.
Bonus that the MC is kind of a linguist! Or at least is referred to as such. (I have a Linguistics background.) Although as happy as that made me, I think she's actually more of a polyglot... sigh. Such a classically annoying mistake, but I loved the book so much I ain't even mad.
