"There is no greater right for a woman than having a choice, Anne. And I exercised that right. Fully and consciously."
I ππΎ was ππΎin ππΎmy ππΎfeelings ππΎ the ENTIRE ( let me say it again THEEE ππππππ book. Listen, I like millions of women just dealt and are still dealing with what happened last year with that trash "supreme" court. I could sit here and talk yall all day long about politics and argue why you're wrong. Im an Aries and my season is coming. I COULD ARGUE YOU ALL DAY but I'm not cause βπΎπ
This book pulled all of that back ANNND then also what happened back in the day and as I said originally. I AM gonna be in my feelings about this and what happenef until I die because why? Things have not changed a lick.
This book is the story of Civil Townsend and the madness she witnessed and the trauma a family of four went through. I've learned a LOT of things through books that the world hasn't taught me in school or out of it, Emmit Till, Relf Sisters, Assata Shakur, Solomon Northup, Tulsa Massacre, Trail of Tears ect... I'm glad for these books. They point me in the right direction, and make me research, and then get mad I didnt know any of it.
Off topic I know, I loved the book it made me have all the feels good and bad. Im still sad this was based on a true story. Im glad I read it though. Loved everything in how it's put together, the writing the story. Beautiful! You should too.
