I can struggle with enemies-to-lovers because it gives me anxiety, but this was such a compelling story. As each of their layers got peeled back, as truths and understandings were revealed…incredible.

And truly, both of their backstories will make you want to weep and rage simultaneously. And when the ultimate truth is revealed…oh my gawd, bawling.

Part of what made me fall in love with this story was that they were both in the wrong at times. They each had moments of cruelty or unkindness. But it made their growth and understanding of each other all the more beautiful.

Frey’s son added a wonderful layer to the story. He was a wonderful character, as are the rest of the single dad club who truly stepped up for Frey.
