Colt and Layla pulled me in from the first chapter and kept reading their story, their connection and their pain. I thought that the author did a great job building the tension and the spice throughout the book. There was this pull between the two of them and you were rooting for them, even though there was a forbidden aspect to their relationship.
Overall this was a good book, with a touch of seriousness in it. I liked the two characters together and look forward to reading more from this author. There are some potentially triggering things, so if you need to, please check those before reading.
read if you like: grumpy/sunshine, age gap, ex-boyfriend's dad, cowboy, forced proximity
