Court of Serpents and Secrets by Eliza Raine

4.0

This was a great wrap up to the Shadow Bound Queen series. I feel like all the questions I had were resolved really well like how was Mazrith’e affliction going to be cured, what exactly was Reyna, why did the Starved Ones want Reyna and how was she going to defeat them, how were Lord Orm and the Queen going to be stopped.

It lacked the sexual tension the first two books had even though Mazrith was being…difficult…in the beginning, but if I think of the series as one big book their relationship actually had a really good arc and the added frustration at the beginning of this book added rather than took away from the romantic subplot.

This book had quite a bit of action, which I loved, including the culmination of the Leikmot, the face off with the Starved Ones, the Queen, and Lord Orm, and the continued progress on the mysteries of how to help Mazrith and what Reyna was.

Voror is still my favorite and I love that he played such a pivotal role in this book and the series as a whole.
