Initial thoughts..I was kind of up and down with this one. As a debut this was fantastic!!! Incredible magic system and world and the character arc’s. I did struggle I guess connecting with the characters though, I don’t do well with epic fantasies when it comes to multiple POV’s and locations and so I found it difficult remembering what we were doing. I had to phone a friend at about half way to figure out where I was. But then something clicked and we were moving in the same direction. This is a series I’m hoping to complete especially with book 3 coming out soon!!!
