I love Jane the Virgin and was so excited to read this book. I just couldn't get into it, though. It's basically a re-telling of the television show but in the late-19th/early-20th centuries. Everybody's initials are even the same! I know in the show it's meant to be a retelling of Jane and Michael's love story, but I had hoped it might be a tad different than the plot of the show. Maybe that's what the author was going for, though. This book didn't keep my interest very long.
