Rejected Wolf by Trisha Linde, Trisha Linde
3.0
Book safety, content warnings, and tropes down below.
Resentment simmered below the lust. How dare he be so sweet to make me want him?
I really wanted to love this book, but there was too much that didn’t work for me. I enjoyed parts of it, but it really felt like the first 50% and the last 50% were two different books, and Jude in particular really changed a lot in a very short amount of time. With it being a rejected mate trope I expected more hurt feelings and angst, but it (for the most part) felt like the MCs weren’t all that bothered by the rejection/rejecting. I was also hoping Jude’s pack would be a bigger part of the story, but other than towards the end, the story and characters felt kinda isolated.
It’s not a terrible story or anything, but not the right one for me, unfortunately.
Minus points for using the description ‘pleated rim’. That’s traumatizing.

Instead of screaming and fleeing like any sane human, he’d smiled up at me, put his hands on my body, his… member hard and tempting. I rolled my eyes at myself. I couldn’t even say the word—penis—without flinching, and I had one myself!
I had a feeling that our love was just going to be like that—bursting from us at every moment, overflowing into every corner of our lives—and I couldn’t wait to get started.
