Teenage me just had to read this book. I wanted to know what happened to Britney, from your own point of view and after reading this book, I am still not 100% sure.
I do not deny that there is a lot of Britney's life that has not been easy or fair, but I will say her book was a bit of a rambling mess. If anything, it made me worry more about her. This is a woman who is clearly craving stability and love. She spoke of her husband, which she has now separated from, as her biggest pillar of strength (in the adult form). She talks of the freedom she has now showing herself barely dressed on Instagram. This is how she claims to e reclaiming herself. I feel that the damage of her past as not made her present easy.
There were parts of this text was really fascinating, but more than anything it was just sad. I feel that's he never received the support or help she needed, and she was forced into some treatments that did more damage than good. If anything it has now made her so wary of help.
My 3 star rating is due to the rambly way in which this book was written. Rushed in some areas jumpy and not at all consistent. If this is a true insight inside of Britney, then my worry for her has grown tenfold.
