TBH, I found myself quite disappointed in this novel as I found it quite ordinary... quite forgettable. To the point where, since I read it last month, I have no recollection of what I disliked or even liked haha. I do recall enjoying the fact that Xaden and Violet felt like a realistic couple who at least tried to communicate?

I heard someone on the 'Books 'n Betches' podcast mention that they find the novel quite forgettable and boring BUT the last 100 pages has you gasping for more. Honestly, I agree with them. I think that the novel would have benefitted from being either split in two, or halved. The last 100 pages could definitely have been fleshed out a bit more but there was enough coherence in them that I feel curious about what happens next.

*eyes widened* I did just see that Yarros is planning on this being a five book series. Hmmm I probably will read book three, just to stay up to date on the hype!
