No one look at me for 5 business days while I recover.

How do I describe the perfection of this book? It has such LUSH prose. The smallest details of the vinegar used on the food, or the way you could feel the weight of the clothing on your body. The warmth of the lightweave and the cold of the shadow fold. Like all of this alone is so deeply beautiful.

And then you have the tension and angst and longing. You have two people with every reason not to love each other, plus a severe lack of knowledge on how to love someone, fighting the slow burn and it is DELICIOUS.

Thea feeds us with the spice in this book and I feel like I’m on an episode of hot ones with the way this book just had me sweating and yet I am gobbling every morsel down.

Someone tell Alaric he is DOWN BAD because boy has got to know. God help the people of book 3 because it’s about to go off.
