This series continues to be such a delight! It feels like each book is packed full of plot points, but they all mesh together super well and carry the overarching plot cohesively from book to book. Every book I read, I love River more and more! His sense of humor, his optimism, and his strong will make him such a fun character to read, and this book being largely about him dodging assassination attempts using a genetic self-preservation skill had me zooming through it. I'm dying to read the next book in this series now that Kai and River are married and the big overarching plot is coming to a crescendo!
