So I finished this last night at 3:30 AM and needed to sleep on THAT ending.

This book screamed the second book in a more extended series, and in being that, it dragged in many places. I felt that there were many times that I put the book down in places that didn't capture my attention. However, there were still many aspects of it that I enjoyed. None of them included Jack Barlowe; what in the heck was that? I hate him. I enjoyed the dynamic between Violet and Xanden, and they did not make forgiveness easy for each other, but that one part where Xaden tells her that he will drag her kicking and screaming into a real relationship where they do communicate with each other, I was like. FINALLY, SOMEONE SAID IT. I loved Brennan's character and want to see more of him in the next book. The same is true with Ridoc; he is hilarious. I will keep my theories about the next book to myself, but I feel Andarna will make things VERY difficult for Violet and Tairn. Also, can we just talk about how cute Sawyer and Jesinia are? That got me.
