Devastating, provocative, cutting stuff. Don't know if I've ever seen a manga be so materially critical of its home country before. This is some extremely dark, thorny satire - I'm so glad it was translated and released here, and really have to give the translator (a guy whose name is popping up in more and more manga I've been reading these) some credit for writing the included essay which puts this work in its proper historical and cultural context.
