I honestly think I might be cursed. I'm having one bad read after another. What on earth is happening??
Anyway. This was.. cheesy. So god damn cheesy. And not even in a heart-warming or cutesy way, but in a "my god, why is this so bad" kind of way. The writing was not good. There was zero depth. The characters were so flat. The jokes were uncomfortably cringe. The feelings were incredibly over-the-top. And the insta-love drove me up the goddamned wall: they were literally talking about being "the one" for each other after one fucking day together. Come onnn.
Honestly, I was just bored and annoyed. I needed this book to end almost immediately.
The only thing I kind of liked was when Alex fucked up and in came the begging and the grovelling. I loved the chase where he tried to win Christian back. It was honestly the only thing I enjoyed in this entire book, and once all that was over, I knew the best part was behind me, and it was only going to get worse again. So, I decided to throw in the towel and spare myself the misery. BYE.
