I keep saying Abby's previous work is her best yet, but this may have stolen the show. Everything about this book had me captivated from start to finish. I though Justin and Emma were both so real and vulnerable and I think Abby handled the heavy topics really beautifully. There were mentions of PTSD, panic attacks, anxiety and other important topics. I thought the bits of humor mixed in were also balanced quite well and they added an air of levity to the story. Romance was kind of the side plot here but it didn't even matter because I loved the characters so much! There was a lot of emotional intimacy which I also valued. I think Emma and Maddy's friendship was also special and I loved how supportive Maddy was throughout Emma's healing process. I loved seeing the cameos from the other characters and how easily they fit into this new book. This has heart, emotion, healing, growth, found family and so much more. I loved this book so much honestly a favorite for the year! Thank you to Forever Publishing and Netgalley for the ARC to read and review!
