My Soul to Keep by Tananarive Due

Honestly this is a good book. The story behind it was interesting however, despite how interesting the story was ...I wasn’t in a rush to finish this book. You don’t really root for any of the characters, and despite all the action, it still feels like nothing happens at times but character thought monologues and weird sequences that don’t really tie together. The world of Ethiopian immortals that Due has created fascinated me ,I just wish the characters were more exciting and the writing a little less rigid. I like that the ending is realistic, and makes me grow fond for the characters just a little more. Given the time, I would entertain its sequel.
