At the end of Piranesi, I feel compelled to rise from my seat and applaud in standing ovation for this masterpiece of a novel. Excellently crafted story, impeccable writing, a plot that reveals itself perfectly, a main character you can't help but root for, and an endlessly fascinating and mysterious setting. I will say no more because like many others who have reviewed this book, I believe it is best enjoyed without knowing anything about it. This book will haunt my every waking thoughts for the next bit. An instant favorite.
