The book was enjoyable overall, but it did drag at times and occasionally felt a bit boring in between.
What stood out for me was the relationship between the main characters. Despite starting as enemies to lovers and agreeing to non-committal sex, their dynamic was refreshingly honest. They communicated well and handled their emotions in such a mature way that there was no unnecessary third-act breakup, which was a nice change of pace. That said, I wasn’t a fan of their impulsive decision to get married in Vegas at such a young age—it felt a bit rushed and out of place.
The background story added depth and was handled well, keeping things interesting on that front. The supporting characters were likable overall, but the toxic behavior within the team wore thin quickly. I found myself wishing they’d sort out their issues instead of dragging them on.
All in all, it was a decent read with some standout moments but not without its flaws.
