Prodigy Prince by Natasha Sapienza

4.0

Last Wednesday I have finally finished “Prodigy Prince by Natasha Sapienza“, which is the first book of a Trilogy called “The Seven Covenant“. It took me almost 10 days to finish it!!

Its definitely a Christian allegory. King Nifal came across somewhat of a god figure (?) And Prince Nuelle is destined to lead the faithfuls to the land of peace… I loved how the author portrayed “Prince Nuelle“, how he actually does not seems like any other regular teenage guy. My most favorite quote by him is..

I really can’t choose… Both of them are great ❤

What I loved the most about this book is the world building.. MAN!! Its soo COLORFUL!!! Like Lavender grass, Magenta grass, Purple hair, Hazel Eyes etc etc!! While reading the book I repeatedly wished for some illustrations. Some that will help the readers visualize and enjoy the world better. Specially in case of the creatures and the beasts.. Because in someplace’s I got overwhelmed by the description and still could not imagine the beast. So It is definitely going to be a request from me to the author!! “GIRL!! Give me some illustrations!!!” (**Begging Posture)

Though the starting was a bit slow, after the first few chapters the story really started to roll. Like any YA Fantasy Novel, there are love interests, self doubts, confusions.. But it never took the limelight. And the final twist made me real sad. Why it had to happen?!!!

From what I see, this book has a lot of potential. It really has everything it needs to be a great series. Great world buildings, great (godly) main character, strong headed female companions, equally strong male companions (one of them even cooks!!!). All it needs is some illustrations (To guide the readers in the right way, he must not be lost. Right?) and less repeatation (in some pages/chapters “faithful, hope of faithful etc” has been used soo many times it almost seems like I’ve been reading the same page multiple times.) If it wasn’t for these two, I would have rate it more than 4 stars…

Mu rating for this book is >> 3.5 out of 5 Stars ❤
