Becoming by Michelle Obama

5.0

My favorite parts of this engaging book are the parts where she humanizes herself and/or her husband. Barack's chronic lateness, when she dared to lay a hand on the Queen of England, her hate of uncomfortable shoes or when she ran away from the last inaugural ball of the evening to hide in her new bedroom. You see more than we did as a nation watching them. They always seemed so effortlessly affectionate and loving, and this book demonstrates how much work they put into their relationship, their jobs, and their family. Highly recommend regardless of your political leanings!
