3.5 stars same giddy joyride

I felt it was only fitting to read the sequel to the Obama-Biden Mystery series into 2021 (Congrats to a Democratic election for change). But the mystery seems to be more of a series of circles and spins than actual suspense for a story. And there were several chapters where I saw the punchline coming and instead of a laugh, I could only sigh or roll my eyes. Of course the story on its own is great with the Presidential duo’s chemistry, but there were some times I slipped in and out of interest because of the slow and sometimes dead pace of the latter half of the story.
