I think this might be the fist short story that I actually enjoyed?
Color me surprised ;)

I think I mostly enjoyed this because it feels like Dostoyevsky, it's his typical style his way of telling a story and that makes this book doesn't feel like it's only 56 pages long. Mostly because in that short amount of time we really get a fell and understanding and perspective of the characters. Which I just loved!

I loved that the main characters has a very specific and clear voice and that he kind of surpassed me on how mean he can be since he could be so sweet in a way.

I loved the way the story was told, how it gone back and forth between the time where the wife was alive and where she was already dead, and how she made the decision that it was easier to die then to continue being alive and married to a man like she is.

This is a wonderful and it really makes me want to go back and reread and read all the Russian works I can get my hands on. Because there is just something about the way those books are written that I always love and most of the time... When I get back to reading them, I have to remind myself that I can't just read those books, over and over again!

Definelty recommend this book, and this edition, because it was wonderful and the translator did a beautiful job!
