This is for that review to those who were not a fan of Emily Henry's previous works but wanted to read this one anyways. You found the right one.
- I wasn't a fan of Beach Read
- People We Meet on Vacation was 50-50 for me

But this? bloody hell its good.

CRYING. SCREAMING. SHAKING. CAUSE . I.

freaking SOBBED MY HEART OUT. LAUGHED OUT LOUD AND HUGGED THIS BOOK SO TIGHT AFTER I FINISHED IT.

Yall can skip this review all together if you want, cause SPOILERS this girl is going to write a whole ass paragraph on how this book is LITERALLY EVERYTHING

Lets first say that this book is dedicated to:

1) The sister in the family (doesn't matter you're the eldest or the youngest, the one that has to take care of everyone, the adult that you had to be eventhough you were just a child)
2) The career women; who literally doesn't need any man in her life but also craves (a little bit) for that sparks and butterflies
3) To the BOOKLOVERS. THIS is my definition of Love in ways that makes me just smile and laugh and geeking with each other
4) To the people who didn't think they were enough
5) And mostly, to the people who are anxious to move to somewhere new, of starting anew of letting yourself be happy

I had a friend who talked about in one of her insta stories on how she heard that you have to go into Emily Henry's books with a mindset of reading it like a Women's Read more than a Romance. And despite the previous works that didn't work out for me that much, I decided to change my mindset and pick up Book Lovers, SOLELY because I heard that its a book for the big sisters, and I was not disappointed. It lived to my expectations. And really The Trick for People who was not of a fan of her works before : change your mindset before going into the book.

It was like when I was reading The Heart Principle and I took it more as a Women's Read WITH romance, and its honestly made the reading journey so much better. For Book Lovers, there are a ton of things I loved in here and imma put it like how Nora would love it, in points, and with evidence to support my statement.

The Characters
You all have to understand, it was not easy to read in first person's POV, and I had that with some books and I literally couldn't stand her train of thoughts, but with Nora???? LORD I LOVED HER FROM THE FIRST CHAPTER ALREADY! She's sassy, an independent woman who knows what she wants, looks to be that cold-hearted-witch who didn't have feelings and literally the woman we all strive to be but is secretly scared of her as well. Nora was so funny, witty and hilarious. I loved her wits and the way she literally is just someone that most women can relate. And DON'T GET ME STARTED ON CHARLIE. I FREAKING LOVE HIM. WITH ALL MY HEART AND SOUL. LIKE HE AGHHHHHH. The rest of the characters in here are amazing as well. Henry really showed how this two characters who seemed to have it all, in showing their vulnerabilities, their what-ifs and anxieties, and mostly showing that people like them also has a heart and they have feelings that comes out with the right people.

The Romance
Lowkey, the romance was effin top notch chef's kiss cherry on top u name it, its EFFIN BRILLIANT. Their banters are so funny and IT WAS SO NATURAL AND JUST REALISTIC????????? I liked that both of them are so matured EVEN while bantering. EVEN THE INTIMATE SCENES HAD ME BAWLING BECAUSE THEY WERE SO VULNERABLE LIKE PLEASE I CANT TAKE THIS. I was sobbing and crying and smiling and laughing so much because Nora + Charlie, IS FREAKING PERFECT FOR EACH OTHER LIKE PLEASE. I love them so much like it literally hurts because I want to protect BOTH of them.

The Books for Booklovers
I saw a vid of someone talking about this book, on how it was a scam for her and I almost believed it (along with my already feelings for her previous two works), where she said along the lines of how the book WAS not a book on book lovers while the title was literally that. She felt that the title was misleading. I would hate to tell her that honestly, this book was THE. PERFECT. BOOK LOVERS. read and how there are these two people who literally works in a PUBLISHING HOUSE and LITERALLY LOVES THEIR JOB . Their banters over bigfoot erotica (which was funny as heck) and their excitement while editing new chapters of a book, the feeling they had when they are in a bookstore, its literally that.

Book lovers are of that. In a sense, it shows that with book, even if the stories are different, all stories can somehow resonate with us. And the bookstore? its literally a place where you can calm down. There was a scene where Nora broke down and she saw a room full of books and immediately she felt it was her safe haven, and that was how book lovers felt. A room full of books, the scent of them, and honestly just talking about it in daily life, inserting inside jokes on different authors, referencing of different characters in different scenes, its literally an embodiment of how book lovers are. We get animated over fictional characters who does not exist (like how I am now) and how we can get so involved in their lives even if its a fictional world.

And for most parts, I love the family and sibling relationships in here. The trust that you have, the love and everything in here is just.

this book may not be for you, and its totally fine. I loved that I gave this book a chance because its on the list on one of the best reads that I read this year. It has it flaws, not every book is perfect, but heart-wise? its perfect for me.
