Heads of the Colored People by Nafissa Thompson-Spires
4.0
What can I say about this book of short stories. They were weird. Shocking and weird. So much so that I had to keep reading to find out what happened next.
I like how some of stories were connected by the same character(s). I think my favorite story was Belles Lettres. I truly laughed out loud throughout the whole thing.
The author captured the raw human emotions that we go through when dealing with all the things that life throws our way. I really felt like I was reading someone's personal journals and not short stories.
The reason I gave it four stars instead of five is that a few of the stories were just too weird. Like, really weird.
Overall a decent read.
