The Haunting of Velkwood by Gwendolyn Kiste
5.0
You THINK it's a book about childhood and the past and suburbia and hauntings. And it is. It's also a book about two childhood friends with abusive parents in a tiny subdivision full of adults who don't give a shit, but are also simultaneously homophobic. And these girls are in love and so twined together and spend thirty+ years of their lives being wrapped around each other but also so distant from each other and all they want to do is be in love and together and there's no reason they CAN'T really.....except The Past Oh The Past....the Uncrossable Chasm Of The Past ...
