Fascinating glimpse into the origins of criminology and the criminal justice system of Scotland early 1900. It is dry and a bit slow at the beginning. It also does a great job of setting out the prejudices of the time and how they impact the criminal justice system - something that continues to this day
. I worked in law enforcement for awhile so this book may hold more interest for me than a layman.
