This book.. this. freaking. book. I loved it to much. Teddy & Gus have my whole entire heart. I have been waiting for their story since book 1, and it absolutely did not disappoint. Lyla hit me right in the gut with this one- right from the start. That line Teddy says?? “I thrived on being needed.”? Yeah- that got me right in my enneagram 2 heart. Lyla really said “we’re gonna poke some bruises and examine some feelings”. Samantha & Jason were sooooo good as Teddy & Gus. Perfectly cast. I loved them!! Sam brought so much life to Teddy. She pours so much into her performance & you can tell. The emotion shines through (and really drives that gut punch home 😅). Jason was the perfect Gus- the growly and grumpy, overworked, overwhelmed single dad & brother who would literally do anything for anyone in circle. If your on the fence about either reading this one or listening to it- I highly recommend LISTENING 😍
