Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs
5.0
Was completely not what I was expecting - but in this case, that was a very good thing. The characters were great, there didn't seem to be any 'cookie cutter' characters, they all had flaws and strengths and used them when their time came. The pictures added to this amazing book and truly helped the characters and settings come to life. The writing style was one of the best parts, the way he wrote this book made it stand out to me. The style of writing was very descriptive, clear, eerie at times, and just overall very satisfying. I would strongly recommend this book for anyone looking for a book that is hard to put down.
