Aimée & Jaguar: A Love Story, Berlin 1943 by Erica Fischer

3.0

I really wanted to like this book. It had been on my "to read" list forever. Yet, it fell short: as a love story, there was little character development. As a social history, there were too few details and not enough analysis. I suspect that some of the issue was in the translation from German (especially of the personal letters, which all seemed abnormally formal). Overall, meh.
