Release Me by J. Kenner

3.0

My knee jerk reaction was to give this 2 stars but then I decided on 3 because of the “Mary Sue” aspect. While normally a Mary-Sue makes me cringe, I realized after finishing that I felt what the author wanted me to feel, in that “what-if-a-billionaire-picked-me-to-spoil-and-heal-my-wounds-and-make-me-feel-special” feelings. And I wanted it! Hahaha. Maybe I’ll continue on with the series? I was kind of shocked that the eBook actually ended at the 90% mark with sneak peeks of 2 more books for the last 10%, but I liked where it ended and I’m so glad book 1 didn’t end with a surprise pregnancy because I really, really thought that’s where it was going, hahaha.
