Shattered Hearts by Tina Spencer

**ARC REVIEW**

I have been torn for a few hours after finishing this book, deciding how best to articulate my feelings for it.

This was a deeply emotional read. While I did find it frustrating that Zoe fought her feelings for Dom SO hard; understanding how abandoned and alone she has felt her entire life is an important piece of forgiving her for her reluctance. She is so sure that everyone she ever allows herself to love will leave her, that she forces her own isolation. If this is something that you cannot relate to, consider yourself lucky.

My favorite parts of this book were obviously the spice (a given). These scenes are well crafted and articulated in a way I’ve not really experienced. Top tier and trust me when I say you don’t want to miss them LOL

Additionally, the emotional depth of the relationships in this story and the moments where we’re given significant insight to the character’s feelings and emotions. I typically highlight a few quotes here and there. I highlighted several PARAGRAPHS from this book because they were so profound to me.

This a BDSM, semi-dark (mildly, based on my tastes but check TW) romance novel however I was so surprised and thrilled when Tina dropped a bomb on me about friendship.

“Without all the mess and bullshit, we wouldn’t be here right now.”

“Butterflies can’t see their own wings but I’ve always seen hers.”
