A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini
5.0
Oh my god this book was something entirely else. It was an eye opener for me as I travelled through Afghanistan to witness the cruelty and gruesome details of life I've always been shielded from.
As a girl, this book inspires me with the dynamics of the many powerful women hidden in this masterpiece. It was an emotional rollercoaster as I went aong with their lives. I cried for their loss, for what was happening to them and was proud when they accomplished something and in awe as their wise words struck my heart.
A Thousand Splendid Suns is a mixture of everything you could ever want, ever kind of relationship and different kinds of settings. The parallels and contrasts drawn in this book are astonishing enough and the bittersweet end sure enough makes you rock yourself back and forth.
5/5 rating! Recommend to everyone, though not the weak hearted for some violence and gruesome details.
