4.0 stars- Liked this book more than the first. It still started off very slow for my taste and I think things could’ve built faster, but I get why it was done that way to pave for the next book. My favorite thing was that the characters were much more fleshed out and it made me care more about the characters than I did in the first. I loved the addition of Rhy’s point of view as it was a nice door to better understanding Rhy and Kell’s brotherly bond. Also gotta love the new character addition — my trash boy flirt privateer Alucard. I very much get Nikolai Lantsov/Sturmhond vibes and I’m very much here for it.
