How to Kill Your Family by Bella Mackie

4.0

This book was one of my most highly anticipated releases but it didn't quite reach the 5 star expectation that I had. I don't know what genre I would categorise this book as, it definitely isn't a mystery thriller to me as there is no intrigue - it is literally summed up by it's title. That being said I still had a very enjoyable reading experience. A massive shout out to Charly Clive who provided the Audible narration for this book, she did an incredible job and was the perfect choice for the voice of Grace, our main character.
Some of the murders in this book are pretty gruesome and my stomach was turning over at some of the descriptions. It was very well-written and paced, holding my attention throughout the book.
As this was Bella Mackie's first fiction novel it is definitely a success and deserves the credit it has gotten. I would recommend this book, but wouldn't say it is a mystery thriller if you are looking for book in that genre.
