An adaptation of a classic in true Jan Brett fashion! The illustrations, particularly of the animals, are highly detailed and incredibly gorgeous. I spent ages poring over the illustrations on every page. Brett also makes great use of varying the book’s orientation. The tale has clever throwbacks to the original novel and Alaskan twists on familiar characters. And, just like the original, it really is pure nonsense!
